How do I become a comedian?

The Adelaide Comedy community is always open to new blood having a go, you never know: you could be the next big thing!
There are many avenues for new comics getting up and giving it a go. Monday nights at Rhino Room welcome any new talent to have a go on stage for One Mic Stand. Just bring along three paying guests at 7:30pm and a five-minute spot in the spotlight is yours.

If you work hard and show promise, the next step is being booked to support the big names on the other Adelaide Comedy shows.
Also check out Triple J’s Raw Comedy Competition in January of each year. Our own Adelaide Comedy comedian Demi Lardner won the national finals in 2013 and got to go to Edinburgh for their massive Fringe Festival.
