Adelaide Comedy is always looking for the next generation of Funny People to join the list of hilarious comedians who have come out of the Adelaide Comedy scene.

It doesn’t matter if you are a woman or a man, your race colour or creed, as long as you can make an audience laugh with your own material we are looking for you.

Each Monday One Mic gives new performers the chance to perform in one of Australia’s most prestigious comedy venues, alongside other up-and-coming acts as well as some established comedians having a bit of fun. Adelaide Comedy watches the Open Mic’s closely for our next big thing. If you are doing well on Monday nights you’ll get gigs through out the Adelaide Comedy scene.

There are only two guidelines;

Each act must bring 3 paying guests to get on stage that night
Each act is strictly limited to 5-minutes
The ‘paying guests’ rule is an initiative to ensure that each week there will be a friendly, open audience ready to laugh along and support the acts.

If it’s your first time and you would rather your friends didn’t see you, or if they can’t make it on the night, DON’T WORRY! Simply message Michael Bowley through the One Mic Stand Facebook page to arrange your spot on the night.

Doors open @ 7:30pm, show starts @ 8pm. Tickets are just $10 at the door.
