The Garden of Unearthly Delights / The Factory

Fresh from a sell-out season in London’s West End, Garry Starr is (still) hell-bent on saving books from extinction by performing every Penguin Classic novel ever written. In an hour. Mostly naked (but with flippers).

The comic wunderkind takes us on a literary adventure through the world’s most iconic works of fiction. From The Little Prince to Moby Dick and everything in between, nothing is safe from being lampooned with the utmost nincompoopery.

Dave Thornton – More or Less

Mar 3, 2026
- Mar 8, 2026
8:30 pm
Rhino Room

A seasoned performer whose shows have been described as ‘devastatingly effective’ (Chortle), Dave is back with a brand-new hour of stand-up, focusing on the small things that frustrate him and the large things that get on top of him…. more or less.

Dave played to audiences all over the country last year and continues to garner fans with his accessible, grounded comedy. Maybe you’ve seen him on Sam Pang Tonight, The Cheap Seats, hosting The Big Trip or really stretching his acting chops as Troy in Upper Middle Bogan on Netflix

Come and check out a performer who’s spent almost half of his life doing what he loves. With his stand-up clips routinely getting millions of views online, you’re gonna love ‘More or Less’

Mar 3, 2026
- Mar 14, 2026

David Correos – TOUCHING MY ACTIVE MIND

Mar 3, 2026
- Mar 8, 2026
8:45 pm
Rhino Room's Drama Llama

This is my new show, Touching My Active Mind. I’m leaning into all the fun stuff that makes a room feel alive. There’ll be an essay, one part that delves into the taboos of comedy, a joke that’s really wet, and one prank . Also I got a revelation I wanna talk about.  I want the show to feel playful and unexpected, like we’re all in on something together. It’s comedy, but with space to muck around, be a bit janky, and try things that feel fresh. If you’re coming, you’re part of the energy and we’re going to make the night feel new, fun, and little bit dangerous.

“There’s a great sense that his material gradually builds in intensity and overwhelms you, which comes as a relief from washing-line shows that start and end strong while sagging in the middle.” – chortle.co.uk, 2025

“Correos does not really tell jokes, but he does do almost everything else, and he does it fast and loud and with all the energy in the world. He can dance, DJ, kiss wild birds and maybe do hypnosis.” – The Press, 2025

CHRIS PARKER – TAKE A GOOD HARD LOOK AT ME

Mar 10, 2026
- Mar 14, 2026
7:30 pm
Rhino Room

Hello! I’ve been vying for your attention for a long time now. I’d comfortably say, it’s been 30 years. 30 years of trying to make people look at me. In that time there have been many attempts to try and masquerade it as something “important” or “educational” but the longer I’ve sat with it, the more I’ve come to accept that it could maybe just be vanity. So I won’t sugar coat it in the blurb. There’s no secrets about to be dished, no valuable lesson to take away. I’m just a 35 year old gay man, who was told there was something special about him as a kid and has been grappling with that ever since, standing in front of an audience asking them to take a good hard look ME!

Dilruk Jayasinha – Gratitude Guy

Mar 10, 2026
- Mar 14, 2026
7:15 pm
Rhino Room

Dilruk Jayasinha confidently claims his superpower is “gratitude”. But after taking a break from touring last year, he realised he has actually spent most of the last few years whinging about his life. To be fair, his heart attack off the back of a global pandemic, sprinkled with a hearty serve of heartache from a breakup, are reasonable ingredients for a solid sook. But in spite of being single and alone at 40, and as the surgeries and visits to ER seem to keep coming, he is desperately trying to focus more on what’s going right in his life so he can return to being the GOAT (gratefullest of all time)!

Dilruk Jayasinha has appeared on Utopia and Celebrity MasterChef Australia and filmed a stand-up special for Amazon Prime.

After a sold-out run at the 2025 Adelaide Fringe and 50+ million views online, Kushi is back with her show Still Happy, a dive into what it means to be twenty and already feel like your life’s spiralling out of control — with older people telling you you’ve got your whole life ahead of you while younger kids are calling you unc.

Jordan is unbulliable. This show is about the people who have tried.
Jordan Barr is the triple j weekend breakfast host who has previously opened for Hannah Gadsby and Catherine Cohen. She’s back with another stand-up show. Yewwwww!

Bec Hill Creates the Perfect Show (WORK IN PROGRESS)

Mar 10, 2026
- Mar 14, 2026

A special peek-behind-the-curtain as Bec creates the PERFECT SHOW* – because seeing how the sausage gets made is much more interesting than seeing a sausage**.

Aaqib Merchant is Not The UberMan

Mar 10, 2026
- Mar 14, 2026
10:15 pm
Rhino Room

Aaqib Merchant has no secrets from his audience! But yours are invited. Confess honestly and anonymously (or make public) the events that broke you and let Aaqib create catharsis from the comfort of your seat.

Getting scammed over a d*** pic, witnessing a goat sacrifice, and a man killed by a flying cow – Aaqib brings true stories and hilarious stand-up to an all-new show format where audience confessions make up half the show.

He’s an immigrant brown man with zero jokes about Uber, and he’s a long way from being the Ubermensch – but after an hour in his company audiences will leave feeling lighter, refreshed and with a sense of satisfaction that makes them a better person.

“Mischievous…cheeky routines to impress” Chortle UK

Audience confessions are encouraged but not required, and you can make them anonymously or make them public as you prefer.

AJ Lamarque: A Beginner’s Guide to Ancient Egypt

Mar 10, 2026
- Mar 14, 2026
5:45 pm
Rhino Room's Alley Cat

Pyramids. Pharaohs. Spells. Few civilizations capture the imagination quite like Ancient Egypt: a world of mystery, magic and mildly concerning burial practices. Now, award-winning comedian and amateur Egyptologist AJ Lamarque (Celebrity Letters & Numbers, ABC Radio Evenings) invites you to unwrap the myths in a crash course 5,000 years in the making.

After sold-out seasons at Sydney Comedy Festival, Melbourne Fringe and Brisbane Comedy Festival, AJ returns with an adults-only hour that’s part history lesson, part comedy, and entirely entertaining. Expect gods, gossip and a few historically questionable practices along the way.

A Tribute To The Old Rhino Room
Established in 1997, Rhino Room has been at the beating heart of Adelaide’s comedy and live performance scene for almost 3 decades. As the city’s longest-running dedicated venue for stand-up comedy and live music, it has provided a platform for emerging artists to experiment, grow, and thrive.

In 2017, the original Rhino Room on Frome Street was demolished to make way for progress. But for two decades, it stood as a cultural landmark. A place where careers were launched, lifelong friendships formed and countless unforgettable nights unfolded. To honour its legacy, a group of performers and fans came together to create this tribute to the original Rhino. Now located at 131 Pirie Street, Rhino Room continues to champion creativity, diversity and community. We’re proud to keep the spirit of the old Rhino alive while building a new chapter in Adelaide’s comedy history.

Testimonials

Walking through the doors of the Rhino Room always reminds me of what I like about comedy. In the dirty little green room all are equal. Reputations are left at the door. New comics swap punch-lines with people you would normally only see on the TV. But if a comedian is killing on stage, then the backstage empties and every comic is found side stage, watching, laughing, riding the energy of the gig. The outside world doesn’t exist. It’s all about the show.

Wil Anderson

I love the Rhino Room because it’s the best comedy room in Adelaide. As for the bar … I can always remember walking in but I can never remember walking out. Too much fun.

Tom Gleeson
Gold Logie Winner, Hard Chat and Hard Quiz

What I love about the Adelaide Comedy Gigs is that apart from the providing the opportunity to see top-line comedy acts at about half the price you would pay to see them during the Fringe. There’s somewhere I can go to forget my troubles for a few hours and have a good laugh. It’s the best form of therapy I know! And as a regular comedygoer, it’s fascinating to watch the comedians (and even individual jokes) develop over time. Plus there’s the satisfaction of knowing that when some of the current crew make it big (which they will), I’ll be able to say “I saw them before they were famous…”

David Hyland

I love Adelaide Comedy because it is a symbol of fun, laughter, friendship and family. It has given me so many wonderful memories in the past few years, and I know it will always be a part of my laugh, whether I be behind the scenes or in the audience. So much love for AC and everyone who help to make it happen.

Lauren ‘Lolly Dolly’ Thiel

The Rhino Room is not only a great venue to see comedy; it’s also THE place to go for a drink if you want to view the comedians in their natural habitat.

Arj Barker

The perfect comedy oasis for great comics to play and create.

Greg Fleet

Adelaide Comedy is definitely the best comedy club in Adelaide. I brought my aging mother there and she had a blast. It’s usually a challenge to get her out of her Mirador senior living community but this was absolutely worth it.
